About Kismet!
Kismet is an all-female adult a cappella group in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We are thirteen professional women from diverse musical backgrounds who love the original sound created by layering unaccompanied voices in harmony. Vixen Vitae for Arlene
• Hometown: Piscataway, NJ
• Vocal Claims to Fame: At a sneak preview for the movie About a Boy, I sang a few bars of the song "Killing Me Softly" for an impromptu talent contest in front of a packed movie theater. Of the 6 or 7 contestants, I was determined the winner by audience applause.
• On any given menu, I'm most likely to order: a sour apple martini.
• My fellow vixens would describe me as: a punny photo fanatic who likes to dance and write song parodies.
• Hidden talent or surprising fact you don't know about me: I love doing crossword puzzles and have done one almost every day since I was 10 years old. For those who are wondering, that's over 20 years.
• My Bond Girl name is: Staria Moon.
• The cartoon character I most identify with is: Buttercup from "The Powerpuff Girls".

• Vocal Claims to Fame: Once fronted a cover band that formed for the purposes of one show only and rocked out an obscure Bread song.
• Least vixen-like moment: assuming that Mountain Dew would mix well with cold coffee (kids, don't try this at home!)
• Famous (within Kismet) for: turning down a $4,000 film scholarship.
• Easiest way to cheer me up: bring back the NHL!
• Guilty Pleasure: Melrose Place reruns.
• The 6 albums that spend the most time in my CD changer are: 69 Love Songs (the Magnetic Fields), October Project (October Project), Dirty (Sonic Youth), I See a Darkness (Bonnie Prince Billy), Ruby Vroom (Soul Coughing), Exile in Guyville (Liz Phair).

Easiest way to piss me off: driving the wrong way in a parking lot row, when there is an OBVIOUS arrow telling you which direction you should/should not be heading
